Why Bobby's Blankets Matter
Bobby Calhoun was a Vietnam veteran, a man of deep faith, and a father who loved family, fishing, his country—and never met a stranger. In his early 60s, Bobby began showing signs of memory loss and was eventually diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.
After losing her father, his daughter Tammy felt called to help other families walking the same difficult road. Bobby's Blankets was born from that calling.
Each handcrafted sensory fidget blanket includes 20 interactive elements designed to provide engagement, distraction and comfort for people living with Alzheimer's, dementia, autism, memory challenges and anxiety.
And Bobby is still part of every one.
A family photo holder, dog image, patriotic patch, “God is Faithful” reminder, and Forget-Me-Not flower are purposefully incorporated into each blanket—small pieces of Bobby's life that now bring comfort to someone else's.

A FAMILY’S STORY
Findlay, living with Alzheimer’s, grew deeply attached to a Bobby’s Blanket during a hospital stay. When the blanket was accidentally left behind at discharge, his family contacted us. We recreated his exact blanket and shipped it the very next day—because sometimes a blanket becomes much more than a blanket.
